This is the Wish List of things we need for the space. Right now, we could really use a donation of:
1000 feet of CAT5 cable, plastic ends, crimper, etc.
Rack mountable servers
Uninterruptible power supplies (with batteries that work!)
Folding tables and chairs (for events)
Workshop tools such as wire cutters, long nose pliers etc…
Electronics tools such as soldering stations and related items.
Solderless breadboards and jumper wires.
Equipment such as bench power supplies, DVM, frequency counters, and function generators
Bench stock electronic parts like resistors, capacitors, regulators, ICs, etc…
This could also be donated to enDesign (the meta-hackerspace) instead of just AHS. Either way.
This is the Wish List of things you can donate. List items here, members will speak up if the item is desired at the space.

Assorted components such as surplus Op-Amps, piles of resistors that need sorting, boxes of random analog and digital parts. Not of much value but would be fun for a project where you use what you can find in a kit of supplied parts. Does AHS want items like this?
4 or 5 MiniITX Via C3 motherboards. These are fast enough to run XP. Just the
MB with integrated 700MHZ processor. I have some 128MB CF Flash drives that can plug into the
MB to boot from. Someone needs to make a Linux boot. I would love to see Android
OS on them. The boards have integrated Video, Ethernet, serial, parallel, and audio. I even have some nice small cases for them. I don’t have all the power supply items and the ones I do have will accept 12DC so they could be used at car computers.
Laptops: I have about 20 old laptops, Win2K era, Panasonic and Dell. Some work. Might make Linux machines or digital picture frames. I think most would boot, but several have broken screens. These laptops have seen heavy use. Maybe AHS could let people test though the pile to find good ones then sell them at $50 for revenue to the space, or give them away in exchange for testing some number of them. You test 4 and can keep the best of the 4, documenting the results for each.
Broken gadgets such as old inkjet printers, scanners, etc.. might be a good scrounging source for parts, motors and the like. I am sure we all have some of this junk. Is there interest in it? Better to bring it to AHS then the dumpster?
